Apple has done some interesting things with a new release of iTunes (et. al.). The idea of synching one's music on one's iPod to more than one computer has been on my wish list for a long time. We have three Macs in our house - and our iPods inevitably get hooked up to the wrong Mac from time to time. Thanks, Steve Jobs for free album covers.

Independent music has been greatly enhanced by the ability to publish one's music on iTunes. There are a slew of wonderful, beautiful, and interesting indie music sites out there, but iTunes has the attention of the technologically-enabled world. Apple's attitude seems to be that indie music is as powerful and compelling as commercially-created music: this is a good thing.
